I can't believe we have the center everyone here had a wet dream for for the longest time, and now that Whippedward is out the door everyone is crying for a tank.

Get rid of a franchise center that wants to play in Utah?

Also, let me know when Hayward is going to the Hall of Fame. Too many people act like we lost a superstar caliber player. Sure 21 points per game is nothing to snarl at, but we just drafted a guy who could one day be averaging 26 points per game. We might have the Jazz's version of Shaq and Kobe and you all want to throw in the towel while we're not even waist deep into the offseason?

Lol, Quaid! Start the reactors! Y'all need to stop overreacting to this. I remember countless times when Haystack, excuse me Hayward would take about 10 games off and we played through it pretty well. Wasn't it this season he missed about 6-10 games and we were above .500 without him?

Never mind the small talk. Just know that it is and always will be

IN LINDSEY I TRUST!

Who said Rudy should go? Whoever it is is nuts. We do need to retool the roster around him though. We can't sit on our hands and hope Mitchell and these young guys develop. If they do then it's GREAT. But it can't be relied upon. Rudy is 25 with only 4 years left on his contract. We need to find a way to put two stars around him in the next three years. Standing pat with the current roster just doesn't work.

I won't snitch on them, but they know who they are.

And you're absolutely right. We can't stand pat. We have a lot of assets though and I feel if this team can work smoothly together through the first half of the season we should try and work for a major player.

I'm crossing my fingers that Lillard and Portland have a meltdown and we trade a bunch of guys to Portland for him. If Lillard and Gobert pan out, and Mitch starts to bud as we're dreaming of him to do then Hayward walking will be the best thing that could've happened to this team.

I still think him leaving was a win/win. We get out of a HUGE contract with a guy that was pretty fragile emotionally.

I wonder if this is seen as a benefit for all of the championship or bust people. It certainly pushes the window for this group back a few years in terms of when our best players will be hitting their prime. And it also gives us more time to evaluate what we have and find more talent from the draft/free agency. All while the nba is likely to be a one horse race.

I guess to put my bright side in short, it would be: losing hayward may make us a much worse team, but it doesn't necessarily hurt our title chances.

Hayward can and will be replaced. Lindsey found his next franchise player in the draft this year, and he LOVES it here. Just like Rudy. Our nucleus will probably be those two guys from here on out.

I'm calling it right here, right now. 5 years from now Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell will still be wearing Jazz uniforms and will be our top dogs. I'll even stretch it to say 8 years from now these two will be wearing Jazz uniforms.

Also people forget how Boston gutted their roster, but came back the next season almost better than they were with Garnett, Pierce and Rondo. We lost two guys who created a lot of drama in Utah.
