I'm a big believer in 8th seed teams developing a sort of swagger. Our core now knows they can compete in this league-- they've made the playoffs. Confidence is an amazing thing to have, and I don't feel there's such thing as 'too early' when it comes to gaining a winning mentality. A winning attitude is a good thing to have, and its what makes our franchise great.
For some reason, I feel like a lot of Jazz fans think our rebuilding window is closing soon. We've got a looong way to go. If we don't get a lotto pick this season, we'll probably get one next season. Most teams take four seasons to get four lotto picks- we got four picks in two seasons. If anything, we're still ahead of schedule. Compiling lotto pick after lotto pick isn't exactly the answer. Our biggest priority is making sure our lotto picks fit together, and gain chemistry.
Right. We have our core for the future. Now we need a good pg. If we can't get Marshall this year, it will be hard to get that in the coming years in the draft as PKM says the pg talent is weak in the coming years.
The draft is the right way to build a team as a small market. We've done that now we need to use our other assets and money to get a decent pg and great roll players and call it a team.
