Mavs - Man it sounded like he was about to cry. Must mean a lot for him
Bulls - The man worked his way up from being an absolute ****ing nobody in this league. It's incredible. Very proud of him
Knicks - I was actually kinda pissed the Knicks passed on him and drafted Tim Hardaway Jr. that year. Knicks needed a C but drafted an a 3rd string SG. Was in love with his potential back then now it's been realized here.
Unk - First player to play in the dleague and win one of the end of season individual awards

Cavs - Also respect for that pink suit. I now want one but know I can't afford it or pull it off.
SIXERS - He's been wearing that pink suit all season. I saw him at The Garden for a Knicks game on the bench in the very same suit. He loves it, and rocks it well.
HEAT - Crazy to think that the dude is only 25... 76ERS - He’s 26 in France lmao. PACERS - I guess this is a nice birthday present for him
Hornets - Gobert is the type of talent that could finish his career with multiple DPOYs so I'm glad he's finally got one to start it off.
Wizards - I’d kill for him
Thunder - I can understand people that don't agree with this cuz he only played 56 games but there is no player in the league that impact the game on defense so much.
Sixers - Embiid got DQ when we still continued the streak without him
Sixers - Ironically I think embiid getting hurt lost him DPOY and won Simmons ROTY. It removed the extra game narrative embiid had vs gobert and we continued our streak with simmons leading the way right when voting happened.
Pelicans - I voted for Kawhi
GSW - there is no player in the league that impact the game on defense so much.
Raptors - Good guy Gobert.

Cavs - Gobert and Mitchell in the Night at the Roxbury suits, that is some bold stuff, I love it. Also Gail Miller seems genuinely nice. I'm always a bit weirded out by the LDS, it always sounds like some weird stuff but I can't say a bad word about anyone I've personally met.
GSW - He was hurt but he deserves this after so many years of dominance on D
Wizards - Can't tell if he's emotional or if it's the French.
Spurs - Dammit. I’ll never get over the fact that the Spurs were only one pick away from picking him up. Way to go big guy
76ers - Yeah it’s a low amount but when he came back for Utah he completely turned their season around with his presence on defense.
Thunder - the games he missed the jazz were getting rekt in the paint, as soon as he was back they feared him
Thunder - respectfully, AD. I think Gobert’s impact really helped in case for DPOY. They didn’t have a great record without him and with him, they were on a 60 win pace.

Rudy Gobert led the NBA in Defensive Real Plus-Minus this season. And the difference between Gobert's DRPM and second place is about the same as the distance between second place and 10th-place Joel Embiid.

Mavs - Quin looks like a retired boxing coach who once didn't throw in the towel for his guy and ended up costing him his life. That put him on a three year bender until his best friend finds in a dumpster behind an Arbys in Provo. "Quin, I know you've been through a lot, but there is kid Quin, this ****ing ballin *** kid Quin. I need you Quin. Here is some listerine and a razor, we're going to France. You need to see him Quin. One day you'll make it back to leaque and he'll be all yours Quin. Look Quin, I found this jacket, you can where it Quin, it has pockets on the inside. The ones on the outside are fake ****, but the insides work great Quin. Here wear this shirt. My kid got it for me but it doesn't fit around my shoulders. I can't wear it Quin. On the other side….
Pels - Lol Pels fans have touted AD as DPOY since the end of the season. Of course we are upset when the award is announced and the guy we thought should win doesn’t...
Unk - Draymond played better POST defense on Capella in the playoffs than Gobert. Not to mention Gobert cant guard on the perimeter. Draymond is a better defender.
I understand Gobert is a great defensive player but to say Gobert was the best defender in the NBA the past 3 years is pure homerism
Pelicans - yea because when he was out the had the toughest schedule in the leauge by time he came back they had one of the easiest
Pelicans - Anthony Davis. Pretty obvious choice, too. Played way more games, more blocks per game, more steals per game.... alll while having to be the guy on the other side of the ball, too. What he did was far more impressive.
Pelicans - AD robbed... Healthiest season of his career and straight dominant on defense
Gobert played 56 games.
Kings - Gobert fans downvoting everyone without even replying...sigh. Gobert slowly becoming an overrated player
Pelicans - Because there is no reply, Davis is a better defender. Sad.
Pelicans - Without AD this is a bottom 5 defense.
Jazz still has a good defense without Gobert. Can’t say the same for the Pelicans without AD at all.
Pelicans - without Gobert, Jazz still have a good defense. Without AD Pelicans are worst in the NBA by far.
Unk - Let’s be honest here. DPOY is based off reputation and not actual defensive performance. Gobert is amazing, but he only played 56 games like you said and doesn’t defend well on the perimeter. AD can defend on the perimeter and be a rim-protector. He also wouldn’t have gotten his *** eaten by Clint Capela.
Kawhi Leonard also won DPOY in 2016 despite playing substantially less games than Draymond Green, proving that the voting for this award is stupid.
Heat - There needs to be like a rule where you have to play 3/4ths of the games to be eligible for an award.
Gobert played 68%
Embiid played 76%
Davis played 92%
Not to **** on Gobert, he's a great defender and would have probably won the award anyway in future years.
Peelicans - Rudy played 50 Games and came back when the Jazz had one of the easiest schedules in the leauge at the end of the season what a joke.
Pelicans - Because they were amazed how much he changed the Jazz defense but forgot that the Jazz started the season with the toughest schedule when he was out and ended it with the easiest when he played. The Jazz post allstar games were an absolute cake walk.
Pelicans - seriously. AD was better than Gobert in literally EVERY category this year.
Pelicans - I never said that Gobert was a bad defender. Anthony Davis is far ahead, even though he's considerably shorter than Gobert
Pelicans - Do you really think that Gobert is only 7'1? He's at least 7'2, if not more
Pelicans - The Jazz and Pelicans literally had identical records. AD has better post defense and his perimeter defense is leagues ahead of Gobert. you still have no point
