Marcus Smart

Depending on how the lottery balls bounce, Cleveland is currently slated with the third pick in the draft. If the lottery goes in order of actual worst records-- 1. Charlotte; 2. Orlando; 3. Cleveland-- and Nerlens Noel and Ben McLemore are taken with the top two picks, the next best player on the board is probably Marcus Smart. Given that the Cavs already have their PG of the future in Kyrie Irving, the Cavs might be willing to trade the pick. Could Utah get that spot for its two first round picks and possibly a future first? And would you do it? Would Utah have to include Burks instead of the future first and would you do that?

they would be able to find something better. to get that pick, we'd have to give up favors, kanter or Hayward. I'd bet my house on it

Otto porter is the perfect fit on the cavs. no reason to trade the pick if they did it wouldn't be to us.

Have you e en smoked a....

Ahh never mind!!!

I agree Cleveland would just take Otto Porter or trade down a couple spots max for a guy like Shabazz or Bennett if that's who they want.

Yea I agree the CAVS would draft Porter. Giving three draft picks or 2 picks and Burks is OVERPAYING for any player in this draft.

I am betting regardless of what happens with the Cavs that the Jazz don't take two first rounders this year. Either a trade of some kind or they draft a Euro who is not coming this year. No reason to use both picks unless we get very lucky with who is left.

burks should not be traded

Of the 4 young uns he is the most dispensable. And he will likely always be the most erratic. If we are going to move up in the draft by packaging two picks one of the 4 has to go. And I think we definitely need to move up in the draft.

If we trade up to get Smart, it will take more than Burks... Kanter/Favors + future first or something. I don't want to do that
