Mark Stein Reports Raptors trying to dump Ridnour to land Brewer

With us not signing adding a shooting guard (other than injured Brandon Rush), and trading Randy Foye to Denver, I would assume that the SG position is Burks to lose. He doesn't need to spend time at PG if he is getting all of the starter's minutes at SG. We do need a veteran back up point though.

It's Hayward's to lose. The paper talked about how the Jazz want Burks to be the man off the bench this year.

Why is everyone just assuming that Hayward is going to play small forward? Pretty much his entire career, he has played shooting guard. If the Jazz want to get Burks minutes, then he needs to play some point as well. I think the Jazz see Hayward starting at the 2, with Burks being the primary backup 2, and getting some minutes at the 1 as well. Hayward might get some minutes at the small forward spot, but I think he is better suited to be a shooting guard.

I can't remember if it was tweets yesterday or a news story, but it talked about how the Jazz want Burks to be the man off the bench. That tells me they are planning on starting Hayward at the 2 and Rush at the 3.
