So I'm going through registration, and I was hoping to get some advice.

What do you wish you had registered for, and what do you wish you hadn't registered for?

Halp.

Didn't do a registry since I already had furnished a home. Her and I just hit the Little White Chapel in Vegas.

Grats man!!!

I'd recomend registering at 2-3 stores. Give people options.

We eloped, so we didn't have a registry either.

I would say that your registry should emphasize the things you'd like to have, but would never buy on your own. It might be that n-place setting of fine dishware you only use once a year, for example. You'll buy your own toasters.

If somebody else can buy me a toaster, I'm gonna have somebody else buy me a toaster.

Congrats again Hantlers!!!! Super exciting stuff. When is the wedding? Post a couple pics doe (especially seeing as you're spending 4904895 dollars on it).

I'm not spending any money (except on beer)…that's all on the ladies family to provide.

If you plan to register for glassware, dishes and/or silverware, get settings for 12 not 8. Also be sure to include the serving pieces.

I love Corelle dishes for everyday use. They're thin and light.

Towels and sheets - can never have too many and they do wear out. Just be real specific on the brand and color, unless you really don't care.

Congratulations!

Not sure you're marriage material if you can't afford to buy her a toaster. Call me old fashioned...

Yep, the ol' marriage material litmus test, enough cash to buy a toaster.

Register for whatever she wants you to. Learn to say "yes dear". Happy marriage.

There are 3 ways to do things in a marriage: your way, her way, and the best way.

HAH, just ****ting you, there are only 2 ways: her way, the highway.

In the end, it won't make a difference. People will still get you whatever they want, not what you want. I got all kinds of **** nobody ever uses. Things like really ugly clocks. I literally got 6 toasters and 2 toaster ovens.
If you have friends or family members that have recently wed, you'll get a bunch of re-gifted stuff. It's like a big white elephant party.
