What's new

My 1000th Post!

I can't remember exactly what point it was when I threw a fit and stopped watching the game, maybe when Ostertag fouled out. I was sure the refs were going to screw the Jazz out of the win. I was sulking in my bedroom when I heard the rest of my family lose their minds after Stockton hit the shot.

That foul by Ostertag was cheap. It sucked even worse because Ostertag was having himself a game that night. I remember watching the game with my dad and he was convinced the NBA would not allow the Jazz to win. When Stockton hit the shot, he just sat there in absolute shock. I, on the other hand, screamed like an insane person.

I remember watching that game at some family friends' house on their big tv. We were all going crazy after Stockton made the shot. The whole neighborhood and presumably the whole state were going crazy. Everyone out in the streets was honking their horns. The Jazz really need to get back to legitimate title contenders. I miss those days.

Wow!! Stockton is a stud! I had totally forgot how he just took that game over. I was watching the game by myself and went absolutly nuts, then ran outside and screamed in the direction of my Bulls loving friends house and yelled, "we are coming for you next". Then ran back inside and called everyone in my family. My brother and brother-n-law went to the Airport that night to meet the team.

As the team runs out on the court to join the celebration (see 6:35 on the video), Stephen Howard smacks Greg Foster square in the face LOL.

there was very little contact on the ostertag foul... BUT, whenever you bring your arms down, you can't really object to the foul.

freak, to have another game like this with this group of guys....

I couldn't watch it so I listened to it on the radio. Even on the radio it was glorious. Maybe even more so because a lot is left to the imagination. It was so awesome.

Back then, there really was a biased against the Jazz by the officials. I don't think it exists anymore though.
