Trade #14 and 46 for Iman Shumpert
Trade 21 for 30 and 57

Take Pierre Jackson@30
James Southerland@57

Offer Jennings 20 mil 2/yr with a team option for 13.5mil in 14/15
offer Jeff Teague the same type of deal(id much prefer Jeff)
if not
Try to get Jarrett Jack for 2 years maybe 7mil a year, hes earned it... in the playoffs
if those options fail Resign Mo, and Al, both on a cheaper than market-rate deal with the idea were trying to build a winner.
S+T Sap for lets say a 2015 1st

Teague / Jackson / Burks / Shumpert
Shumpert / Hayward / Burks/ Teague
Hayward / Burks / Marvin / Shumpert /Southerland
Favors / Kanter /Southerland /Marvin
Al / Kanter / Favors

Burks at SF huh? Big Al!!!?? No thanks.

burks cant play some SF? didnt he guard SF's @ colorado when he was rail thin, he is in NBA standards but i hope hes putting on some weight, the good kind or weight

also do you really think the jazz are gonna have mostly 21 year olds and no high paid vets?

have you ever heard the term "dont let the inmates run the asylum" your asking for that, putting all 20 year old millionaires in a position to do it all

Al is here for the longterm, kanter should overtake him, then we can use al off the bench

I'd much rather let those 20 year old hungy millionaires run it than Big Al.

the warriors won games in the playoffs playing Klay Thompson at SF, is he much better equipped to defense your average SF, than Burks?

For me it is not a matter of can he but should he. I do not think he should. Burks will be most effective at SG. Also the Jazz will have (I hope). Hayward, Carroll and Marvin. All of them should play SF ahead of Burks.

These moves don't improve the team at all. We would still be a 7-10 seed in the west.

You must lose to improve in the NBA.

its not about whats best, that plan always crumbles throughout the duration of the season, the question is will burks hurt us in certain matchups at SF (NO, against older shooters he will give us a major fastbreak advantage at SF)

but i have SF wrong. Shumpert is much more ready for SF minutes

i should have just started Hayward at SG and Shumpert at SF

Again Burks may not hurt Utah as SF but does he help Utah? I do not think he does.

@ Green. Keep beating that drum.

Burks is getting bigger, and might be able to play SF better next year, better than he has in the past...

also teams like Milwalkee use lineups with 2 undersized guards like Jennings and Monta and have put JJ Reddick at the 3.

i dont see how Burks is some huge disadvantage against a player like Francisco Garcia, whos a finesse player, but bigger

(also notice the "sf" marvin, standing and watching) lol

if its my idea, we cut marvin(or trade him for a worse contract and a pick) and sign Al Farooq Aminu, hes better at 4 unquestionably, and is much better at rebounding, and rebounding then dribbling the ball up the court quickly

You are still confusing can with should. Also if you have Burks at SF you are putting him at a height disadvantage agaisnt many SFs. Burks is only 6-6.

But hey man feel free to dream. No harm in that.

OK, then you still have 3 players that would be better at SF than burks. Aminu, Hayward and Carroll.

Glenn Robinson Jr was 6'6" without shoes drafted #1 overall to play sf/pf
Danny Green is a SF at 6'5"
Victor Oladipo is projected as a 2/3 by many hes under 6'4" without shoes
Reggie Bullock who many want the jazz to draft to play SF is 6'6" and change

Burks has a 6'10" wingspan and a vertical near 40"... i dont think he will hurt us at SF, Shumpert is a better defender of SF's though, hes much stronger than burks

dont i have Hayward starting at 3 with Shumpert starting at SG?

any sfs try to bully Hayward, Shumpert can switch to them

in this scenario burks gets 3rd pg duties, 3rd sg duties and gets some time at SF...
