My Final Crazy Idea

dont i have Hayward starting at 3 with Shumpert starting at SG?

any sfs try to bully Hayward, Shumpert can switch to them

in this scenario burks gets 3rd pg duties, 3rd sg duties and gets some time at SF...

What about Aminu and Carroll. Keep in mind I was using your scenario not mine. Is ee that you want them to play SF and i am sure they could. But it is a matter of what is best for the team. Burks at SF is not best for the team. Period.

I'm done with the subject.

Here is the fundamental flaw- the Knicks see Shumpert as a future all-star. No way they give him up for two late first round picks in the this draft.

Teague 27mpg, Jackson 14mpg, Burks 6mpg, Shumpert 1mpg = 48/mpg at PG
Shumpert 23mpg, Hayward10mpg, Burks 10mpg, Teague 5mpg =48/mpg at SG
Hayward20mpg, Aminu 13mpg, Shumpert 7mpg, Burks 5mpg, Southerland 3mpg = 48/mpg at SF
Favors 30mpg, Kanter 10mpg, Aminu 7mpg, Southerland1mpg =48/mpg at PF
Al 27mpg, Kanter 18mpg, Favors 3mpg = 48/mpg at C

final minutes per game totaled are
Favors 33
Teague 32
Hayward 30
Shumpert 31
Kanter 28
Al 27
Burks 21
Aminu 20
Jackson 14
Southerland 4

presuming no injuries and 0 overtime games ofcourse

Burks is getting bigger, and might be able to play SF better next year, better than he has in the past...

also teams like Milwalkee use lineups with 2 undersized guards like Jennings and Monta and have put JJ Reddick at the 3.

i dont see how Burks is some huge disadvantage against a player like Francisco Garcia, whos a finesse player, but bigger

(also notice the "sf" marvin, standing and watching) lol

He's standing and watching because it's not his man that is going to make that layup. It's Burks' man. And it's a PG not a SF. Burks is not a SF. He could play it in a pinch but he'd be better off as a SG or a PG.

lol i know, i kid.

if luke walton can get 20 million dollars to play SF, alec burks can play SF in an emergency, obviously... see the minutes i just posted, a whopping 5 minutes at SF

Well I am glad this is your last crazy idea. Somehow, I have my doubts that it is. Yes Burks could play SF in a pinch but as Stoke said he shouldn't. Burks is a SG/PG. If you go small ball than perhaps he could play it effective but he needs to get stronger to play it on a regular basis.

The craziness reaches it peak when you start talking about the minutes distribution. Most NBA guys play 8-10 guys during the regular season and that gets cut down during the playoffs. Ideally, if you have great depth you bring in 3 subs and play some of the starters with them. There is no way Ty or any coach would use your substitution pattern.

The Jazz need a starting PG and a back up PG.
They need another guy to make the SG/SF rotation.
THey need another guy to make the PF/C rotation.
Hopefully these guys can shoot and play defense. Both things that the Jazz are lacking.
The rest is filler depending on injuries, finances and availability.

Hopefully, in this draft the Jazz can get two bench players that can be very good role players and best case scenario someone surprises us and we find another piece to the Core4. I would be excited if the Jazz hit on one player but if they are so lucky to hit on both picks then I will be giddy. I want a PG-starter or backup PG, another big men (center) to rotate between Kanter/Favors (making it unnecessary to bring back Millsap/AJ) and it would be great if the Jazz could find a shooter that would come off the bench to help the bench scoring problem.

im glad that everyones hung up on the 5 minutes i said to give burks at SF, lol, fogures.

anyway, no. im gone forreal, yall dont want me here thats more than enough. tbh im not even gonna be a jazz fan, you guys bore me. ill go elsewhere and bet on the jazz nightly

i bid you adieu, good luck

im gonna root for the Magic, they have the NY kids Mo Harkless and the trade of Tobias Harris and Doron Lamb was key, i love those players.

always liked Glen Davis, and #2 and #51 are legit, plus they should be in the lotto next year, anythings better than the Knicks

2-3 idiots saying they do not want you here does not mean the rest of us do. I am perfectly fine with you being here. You have as much right as the rest of us. Me not liking your idea has no bearing on wether I like you or not.

Come or stay as you decide. Not as others decide for you.

Agree. This forum is an opportunity to post ideas - some of them better than others - and have others chime in. I've posted some bad ones. We all have.. I'm also not in favor of the lineup you had, but primarily because you had some chump named "Al" playing 27 mins at center.
