The NBA 2014-15 salary cap is now projected to be $63.2 million and the tax level is projected to be $77.0 million. The numbers for 2015-16 are now projected to be $66.5 million and $81.0 million, respectively.

The salary cap and luxury tax values for the current season are $58.679 million and $71.748 million, respectively, which means the new cap projection for next season represents a 7.7% increase over this season.

Signing Hayward shouldn't be a hardship at all if we really want to keep him, and that Favors signing probably will be genius over the next few years. If we get a good player in the draft we should be able to keep everybody and add pieces as well.

Renounce the rights to the players we have options on (Lucas, Clark, etc) and the Jazz will have about $15M in cap space. If the Jazz are going to keep Marvin, they should sign him to a reduced salary as soon as the FA period opens.

Can easily go after a higher-tier FA or look for a trade with that cap space. Don't really need to worry about the luxury tax for another 4 years.
