Neto quietly stepping up his game and Exum looking long and lean...

Neto in the last 5 games ,all Wins, averaged 11 ppg and 4apg while shooting 50% from 2 & 58% from 3.He's playing more relaxed and not making mistakes that hurt the Jazz.

Seeing Exum ,that high school skinny boy is gone ,he might weigh the same but he's more wiry strong.

I've thought for awhile Neto would be a great backup and share PG duties with Exum in running the Jazz team. I think the Jazz are going to be a fast uptempo in your face defensive team next year who's offense will thrive because of it.

Rodney Hood wants to be a good defensive player ,Exum already showed he can and will be.Them two in front of Gobert and Favors ....wow an NBA #1 type defense.Neto will come in and be a pesky mosquito type defender.

Jazz like the pass the ball a lot but still most here are critical of the lack of assists created.Exum /Neto should be 11/12 apg next year and be 18/19 ppg from the PG position.
With the skillz Trey Lyles is showing, offense looks very promising .
For now if Neto can keep up his relaxed play, the Jazz can surprise the NBA in how they close out the season.

I would agree. Neto is making Burke more expendable. I'd wager the Jazz are out there seeing what offers they can get for Burke. Burks and Booker could also be in play, but I hope not Burks because I really think he has potential to be an All-Star level player.

Not sure about the salaries, but would people go for a trade of Booker and Burke for Ryan Anderson?

That's a dream-scenario. New Orleans would be insulted at the offer.

Yeah, I would agree. But I wouldn't give up more for Anderson, would you? He sure would be a good fit now, but if Lyles develops, maybe not so much in the future, and then there are salary considerations.

I agree Burke and Booker is not a good offer, but I wouldn't give much more for him unless I knew he'd re-sign with us. He has been playing off the bench and is an unrestricted free agent. If they feel like they can't keep him, they will take what they can get. He is going to get paid this offseason.

Jazz can't afford to give a FA a big 4yr deal if they want to keep their starting 5 intact (counting Exum/not Neto). At best, they'll maybe look for a player this summer like Booker who they can sign for a couple of years - or trade for a player with 3 yrs or less on their contract. They can afford big deals for Favors, Gobert, Hayward, but as soon as Hood and Exum come off their rookie deals, that's when the tax threshold comes into play.

If things pan out with the talent we have on this squad, I'm betting the Jazz go into the LT to keep as many of them as they can.
