New Draft Express Mock - Exum to #6

If Exum is there at #5 you take him if you have him rated higher than any other player. And if you like another guy better than what you have on your roster then you look to do business with a team who doesn't want their pick. You don't gut your team so you are back in the lottery year after year.

Jazz want Gordon or another player then they shop a pick + a young guy. If the Jazz get Exum, then Trey can be traded. DL gets on the phone and starts calling every GM with a pick behind #5. See if he can make a deal.

There is no one in this draft worth Kanter, Burks, #5 and another #1. Maybe Embiid if he had no health issues.

It's steep, but I don't know about WAY too much.

Yea it is way too much. Beside the fact most people sitting at the top three know a team will have to way over pay. I think it is better to find a second lottery pick or FA then gut the team so you have a potential star and two other pieces. By the time this "star" is ready he will want to go to another team because he realizes he has no chance of winning.

If you guys covet Favors more than Kanter, I'd happily give you Favors and #5 for #3. Burks AND an additional pick on top of that is steep and you know it.

At any rate, I appreciate the input, and I'm sure everyone else does too.

Yah I'm just trying to be objective.

Likewise, on realgm.com (Xepa777) I equally bash stupid Sixers fans who think they can get the first pick from Cleveland for 3 and Thad Young. It goes both ways ya know?

So much of this draft will really be predicated by:
1) Does Cleveland keep its pick and who they draft 1
2) Does Orlando take Exum or Smart
3) How much are the Jazz willing to mortgage for Jabari

Honestly though, if Exum falls to you, I wouldn't trade the pick. Just draft Exum. I'm just going by the parameters laid out by reports. Personally I like Jabari more than Wiggins, but that's irrelevant because the Sixers like Wiggins more so all my arguments have to center around that fact.

Those are the 3 main variables in play here, and it will be exciting to see how it unfolds. I'm thoroughly enjoying the browsing between here, realgm, and realcavsfans.
