Lazy *** crybabies. What a bunch of wusses. Just because your children were butchered doesnt mean you get to take away my rights. Go to hell you wusses!

Unbelievable.

Wow.

I truly hope someone kicks his *** over this. That would be awesome.

A Minnesota radio host had a message for the families of the Newtown shooting victims during a segment on his show about gun rights: “Go to hell.”

“I have something I want to say to the victims of Newtown, or any other shooting,” said Davis. “I don’t care if it’s in Minneapolis or anywhere else. Just because a bad thing happened to you doesn’t mean that you get to put a king in charge of my life.”

DAVIS: And here’s the other thing that drives me crazy. They trot out the victims. And I have something I want to say to the victims of Newtown, or any other shooting. I don’t care if it’s here in Minneapolis or anyplace else. Just because a bad thing happened to you doesn’t mean that you get to put a king in charge of my life. I’m sorry that you suffered a tragedy, but you know what? Deal with it, and don’t force me to lose my liberty, which is a greater tragedy than your loss. I’m sick and tired of seeing these victims trotted out, given rides on Air Force One, hauled into the Senate well, and everyone is just afraid — they’re terrified of these victims.

EMMER: Well they’re being used — they’re being used…

DAVIS: I would stand in front of them and tell them, ‘go to hell.’

Perfect! Everyone should watch this.

I want to see if this clown has the set to take the guy up on his offer for a trip out to Connecticut and say it. I really doubt he does, since he's most likely just a coward hiding behind a microphone like most nutjob talk show hosts.

Maybe he can talk to Limbaugh and score a few oxys to help him calm his nerves if he does go.

The only thing the members of the Senate are terrified of is losing the next election. If that radio host thinks otherwise, he's plumb crazy.

Regardless of how we feel about gun control, I think we can all join together in condemning those who minimize the pain and sincerity of the families of the victims, just as we can all applaud the actions of people who use guns to save others.

Colbert addressed that in the video from the link above...

The jerk hasn't response yet. And as colbert said, "probably too busy reading fan mail!"

I wish his boss would just fire him. They are losing sponsors so maybe he will be forced to resign? I just wish Americans could stand up for stuff once again. Stand up and fire this guy already. It's not like finding some loud mouth radio host is THAT hard.

And he's too ignorant to see that his attitude is EXACTLY what fuels the anti-gun fire. In a sense, he's right. But he can still get his point across, even the point that the victims are being used as pawns, without then telling them to "go to hell." He should lose his job.

Agreed. That kind of divisive BS doesn't help anyone or any cause.

and also, I think, what fuels the rabid pro-gun folks as well. There's just a certain element on both sides of this debate (and many others as well) that are too easily whipped into a frenzy - and this is the sort of talk that both feeds off of those folks, and feeds their frenzy as well.

As Bronco pointed out in another thread, there's just an element of cooperation, compromise and collaboration that is missing in many segments of our society. In a sense, my own spin is that we're going through a sort of Industrial Revolution based upon social media and new forms of communication and it's creating upheaval in the way issues are resolved, both in a one-to-one sense, and in a broader societal sense.
