Nogueira extends Spain contract until June 2015? Why?

Looks like Nogueira has just extended his contract in Spain for the next 2 years. Why would he do this. At the very least he is going to have a buyout that is going to cost money.

He has a deal with an NBA team that he likes. They want to keep him overseas for atleast 1 year. He announces this today to scare away other potential drafters. I would say that Dallas is NOT going to trade that 13th pick. OKC also a possibility.
