They'll serve time on that private jet, enclosed communities, private country clubs, and member only golf clubs.

I hope they burn to the ground. There are few things I loathe more than corrupt elected officials.
 
These 2 *** clowns face up to 30 years in prison.

Shurtleff is being reported to have had his own "Porter Rockwell." This guy would text and call witnesses and political enemies.

Shurtleff is so damn corrupt. I hope he gets the maximum.

They seem to be playing to the media. Pounding the podium since the law and facts clearly aren't on their sides.

I just wonder if an Utah jury will be sympathetic to them seeing their political and religious affiliations...

I also wonder if they'll cut a deal and maybe even indict other elected officials?!

I don't think so, and certainly hope not. It shouldn't matter, you break the law then you pay for the crime, especially when you are in a position of authority and know the law but are hiding it and going all mobster... if all of this is true. I suspect it is.

Will a jury even be involved, or will this be a judge?
 
As a noob to becoming disgusted with political corruption, having gotten deeply involved in investigation of it, and feeling like nothing will be done about it... this feels good.

Now let's see some heads roll in NV.
 
Am I the only person that thinks this is par for the course? That people are more often than not given the resources to get elected or are appointed precisely for their willingness to serve certain people rather than the people. For their corruptibility or at least less than perfect ethics.

I would like to say I am encouraged by this investigation and the charges but I still view it as a drop in the bucket. The tip of the iceberg. I'm not 100% sure how we would go about meaningful reform but it is needed at every level of government imo.

Is it possible the scam is on them and some people wanting power are telling stories and trying to get rid of them for their own purposes?

Just saying if your willing to believe one corruption conspiracy theory, then the other one could be valid too.

So you think that several utah DAs (repub and demo), the Utah State legislature (all repub), and the FBI (mixed) are in on a conspiracy to knock off 2 former AGs so that they can place someone they all like and support, into power?

Did I say I thought that? Just like to explore all options as opposed to some people that wear horse blinders when it comes to their political takes.
If something is fed to me through the media I don't just buy into it because someone said so, I like to explore the options first.
Too much crap going on politically to just take my info on a spoon from anyone.
tbh anything you support, I am almost forced to at least entertain the opposing view no matter how insane it might appear.
