Terrible political move by Obama. I`m pretty surprised he did it. People for gay marriage were already going to vote for him - but there`s alot of moderate types on the Obama/Romney fence that could get pushed over to the Romney side because of this.

Someone should tell Obama that his strongest constituency, black folks, are mostly against gay marriage if not outright homophobic. This really, really, really could have waited until next year.

But to me the biggest blunder is now the redneck yokels who were going to stay home because of wishy washy Romney now have something to come out and vote against.

If Obama loses everyone will say THIS is the reason - and with the shape the country is in right now, that might be the greatest tragedy of all.

The sad thing is that he pandered to the mindless. Because they don't even understand the extent that he tried to be moderate and negotiated with the GOP. If he does get elected the next 4 years expect him to take advantage of the democratic majority he will have.
