When you watch the game does it seems like our offense is about getting the big guys the ball or getting shots for wing players?

I am tired of watching us set picks at the freakin 3 point line! Watch Stockton and Malone they set the pick a few feet in and it makes a huge difference. If you are going to run the pick and roll you have to bump your defender into the screener and be patient!!!! let them make the move and over play or under so you can attack. WHY AREN"T THEY TEACHING THIS!
You can't just run as fast as you can as Hayward, Burks and everyone else does. Diante is the only one who understands it and he isn't even half as talented as our other players.

When do we ever see a designed play to get Kanter or Favors the ball actually near the paint!!
Why is our offense revolved around wing players when we have KANTER AND FAVORS!
Watching these idiots shoot fadeaway jumpers is ridiculous. I blame Corbin mostly for a lack of an offense as always but I am blown away by Haywards & Burks horrible shot selection.

I am tired of watching us set picks at the freakin 3 point line! Tell that to Gregg Popovich's four ring hand.Watch Stockton and Malone they set the pick a few feet in and it makes a huge difference. Good strategy. let them make the move and over play or under so you can attack. WHY AREN"T THEY TEACHING THIS!

The first two possessions of most games, for starters. Do you watch them?

Seems like at the start of the year they were getting into the low post. Lately, not so much. Not sure why, defenses taking it away? Ty in love with RJ? Failure to execute.

Not saying it doesn't happen. Pointing out that we rarely get them in a good position. Our wings dominate the ball and jack up fadeaways and bigs rarely are in position to score.

So I guess that would lead to turnovers since Stockton did that his whole freaking career? Did you actually watch Stockton play?

Claiming Hayward is as good a ball handler and pnr assassin as Stockton is a non-starter for me.

Your point on perimeter players chucking long twos has been well received broadly.

Kanter has been a pussbag in the low post and keeps passing the ball back out without attempting to do anything with it. When he has tried, it has been disastrous. I want more Favors on the right block. I don't know why Corbin has gone away from it when Favors has dominated opposing bigs early. Still though, it has been a relatively low scoring play overall.

You don't have to be as good of a ball handler as Stockton. Diante Garrett showed how to run the pick and roll multiple times by being patient. Hayward has the ability if he practices it. Other wise we just keep our bigs at the 3 point line not even in position to rebound.

Kanter needs to become better no doubt. Same with Favors. Kanter I think is still out of shape. Doesn't seem as quick. Weird how he still seems a step slow.
Favors needs the ball more I agree. I just blame Corbin for not getting the ball to them more. The offense is painful to watch.

It's tough since we are clearly unable to hit threes, opposing teams are packing the lane. There is a smaller window for paint scoring than Ty's pencil thin mustache

Seems Jazz bigs are usually unsure of what to do after receiving the ball in pick-and-roll. They lack ability to make a quick, correct decision. Kanter can shoot an open jumper on the pick and pop, Favors can awkwardly dive to the rim if he has space. Other than that, they are very limited in these situations. Plus, the wing players aren't teriffic shooters, Hayward's handle and ability to finish are supspect, and Burks can't hit jumpers. This leads to struggle.

After the second half tonight I agree with this 100%.

The problem is the bigs are taking way too long after getting the ball so they're isolating instead of running motion to get them better position. Maybe it's time to risk giving up too much on the other end and just run an offense for the sake of running learning.
