OJ Mayo or Tyreke Evans - FA Signing

I believe these 2 will be in the sights of KOC and staff this summer.

With the following team put together who is your choice and why?

Burks/Rookie/Tinsley (1 year)

Hayward/Foye (2 years)
Marvin

Favors/Rookie
Kanter/FA Mid-Level (2 years)

As I look at it more and more I'm intrigued of a lineup of
Burks/Rookie/Tyreke
Tyreke/Foye/Burks
Hayward/Marvin
Favors/Rookie/Evans
Kanter/FA Mid-Level

I believe that line up could be a dominant defensive team and efficient offensive team with the ability to get to the line at will. 3 players who can create with the ball and with Burks developing his outside shot the ability to have Burks and Evans handle the ball would cause issue all over the court.

Mayo would be a good addition but from what I've seen is turning into a spot up shooter but can create with the ball in his hand. Doesn't seem to do it enough but not sure if its him or the offense.

As you can see I'm in Evans court but thoughts? Could we get either of these guys to Utah for a decent price and 3 year agreement?

I couldn't stand Mayo in Memphis but I think he's made some strides in Dallas.

Want nothing to do with Evans - he's not smart enough to be PG and not a good enough shooter to play the 2.

The bigger questiion is how much are you willing to pay for these guys.? I think both of them fall under the category of "good players that will be demand great player dollars"

You are assuming neither Al or Paul will be with the team... I believe at least one will be re-signed. I also think Mo will be back unless we pull off a very creative deal for a great PG.

Why not sign them both? :p

Draft Burke

Mo, Burke, Craft (8,3,1)
Mayo, Foye (8,3)
Hayward, Evans, Carroll (4,10,1)
Favors, Williams, evans (4,8,1)
Kanter, Dieng, Aldrich (4,2,1)

58 mill payroll

Just for fun. Mostly sarcasm

Burks Traded to move up to get Burke
Mo signed 3 years 24 mill 3rd year team option or partially gaurenteed
Mayo 3 years 28 mil
Evans, 3 years 34 mil
Dieng drafted and craft in second round

Hayward, Evans, mayo is the wing rotations all getting 30 min either hayward or evans starting

Mayo's only 25, Jazz have money, yeah.
Mayo comes from a small town atmosphere, a guy we can keep in Utah. That's what we need, people that wouldn't mind staying here.
We need a new coach, too.

But if it's Mo/Mayo/Haywerd/Favors/Jefferson next year, then so be it.

Me too. But is that a realistic sum?

I think so?

Isn't he getting 8 million year now? Hasn't his production kind of gone down? Plus he will be hitting the north side of 30. Plus I think he wants to stay in Utah. I really don't know though, I wouldn't mind going up to 8 million.

I've said it before but I'd give Reke a chance as long as the numbers are decent. Bring him off the bench.

I like the idea of three non PGs that can control the ball and distribute.

So we are going to run off Al and Paul so we can get Tyreke and OJ? All that FLEXIBILITY talk leading up to that?

Man, bring back the glory days of Booze and Okur.

Jazz nation has fallen.

This thread should be deleted. Mayo or Evans on the Jazz would be a disaster. They are some of the last players the Jazz would ever want.

Was this thread an Aprils Fool joke?
