With rumors that we may be trying to trade up, and being realistic about possibilities, if there is one player that I wish we could land it would be Otto Porter.

Some of the revised mocks I am seeing have Otto possibly moving down a little in the draft. I think he will definitely be a top 3-8 guy. I REALLY like his overall well rounded game.
 
You just made Cyrone happy. He has been pimping Porter all year. I like Porter and if he fell I might consider moving up to get him depending on what it costs.
 
He's expected to go Top 3. I don't think the Jazz assets can get there unless you include Favors or Kanter and Porter isn't worth that.

I would agree that I would not include Favors or Kanter in any deal for Porter but Porter would be a nice addition to that front line.

Evidence? Its a prediction and an opinion. Nothing scientific about it.

When i say porter will bust i mean he will be a fringe starter at the peak of his career. Not worthy of a top 5 pick or trading assets to move up for.

I can't say I disagree.

By low risk.. I don't mean who I think will be the best... just that they will play a nice role for a team .. and the chances of less than that are very slim.

All things are relative. Is Porter worthy of a top 5 pick in the 2014 draft? No. Is he worthy of a top 5 pick compared with the other prospects in the 2013 draft? Based on the information that we have at this time... Yes. This may turnout to be one of the worse draft classes in recent memory. As always, there will definitely be some 2nd round picks that will out perform those taken in the 1st round and people will point to those taken ahead and say they are busts. But, hindsight is always easier.

If, in your opinion, Porter will definitely be a bust, why don't you point out the prospects that you think will NOT be a bust that should be taken ahead of Porter.
