Paul Ryan for the Bush Stimulus

Too much discussion of absolutes. Drives me crazy when republicans state (broadly) that Obama was a complete disaster. Equally drives me crazy when he is cast in the light of a savior. Purely partisan arguments/points of view, are all manure.

Obama was about in the middle, but that's because the Federal Reserve decided to 'make it so'.

The funny thing about the GOP is it seem that their absolutes seems to change based on their current predicaments. When Bush was President Ryan seems to feel that stimulus are a good way to keep the economy going and debt spending was needed. Now lets fast forward to now look who is young up and coming GOP deficit hawk that is antistimulus.

I agree 100 percent. It's the reason why I don't have interest in politics or any respect for politicians or their hardcore followers. I choose not to call myself a Dem or a Republican.

Right now I have the least amount of respect for republicans. Mostly because all the nonsense is coming from their direction, since a Dem is in office right now. It's unbelievable all the rhetoric used by them.

My biggest pet peeve right now with them is they constantly try to hammer away that Obama wrecked the economy. It's all his fault we have these problems.

These people are so delusional that they don't even believe that the stock market had already been crashing before Obama got in office. Or that the bailout was signed by Bush, and that Ben Bernanke was appointed by Bush.

Well, you seem like you have some common sense from your post above. This thread is based on the hypocrisy of this so called deficit hawk.

Ain't that the truth. Uncritical faith in any ideology or belief system is pure foolishness.

tax rich more - aww, hell no.
spend money on jobs - is there a job to be done, or are we just creating busy work for the sake of lower unemployment?
takeover banks in 09 - meh .. just need to have greater accountability and remedies with real teeth

I know.

Everyone in America should be fed up right now with how politics are conducted. A politician will say anything to get elected or to get their way. A politician just relies on the mass majorities bad memory. It's truly sad how many fools are out there. Either that, or they are just shameless pigs. There is no excuse not to know if these people are lying and pulling B.S. There is video evidence everywhere now. But yet somehow we still have mass followings in both parties. It blows my mind. I truly feel like I live on a land full of brainwashed zombies.

I agree Obama does need to work his agenda and quite playing soft ball politics. He tried to nice and that hurt him with Democrats and Republicans.

We need to take some responsibility

I take personal responsibility for my impact on the environment

If there was a military cut bet ya Utah wouldn't like it having Hill Air Force Base funds cut because like it or not we are a thriving state because of government money and jobs

Lets do tax the rich more ;)

Obama has had a jobs bill on the table but it looks like congress doesn't want to pass it

I don't want them to take over the banks just regulate them and throw those criminals that ruined our financial system in jail

Funny, PKM is the only conservative poster on this entire website who has shown the courage to post in this thread. Where's Scat, Stoked, etc?

I'm sure if someone had posted a video of Obama a few years ago talking about how we need a voucher like medical/retirement system or privatization of SS, lower taxes on the wealthy, or an invasion of Iran, they would have been all over it.

Criminal Lawsuits are expensive and tough to prove.
We could have just stopped dumping truckloads of cash in their vaults.
What's the point of bailing them out to prop them up, and then suing them to drive them back into crisis mode?

Bull. Every economist who could grab Obama's big left ear told him that anything but pushing the spending & tax cutting peddle would wreck the economy. So Obama said fine, and that we will have a serious discussion of tax policy a couple years down the road. There was no caving, only doing what he had to at that time.

& then he let private interests write his healthcare bill.
