If the Jazz can finagle a hybrid deal with a D-League team, I'd love to see them actually use it to get young players real game experience. I'd pretty much always have my two youngest DNP guys playing down unless and until I intend to give them real minutes up at the NBA level. Hire a young coach to develop them and really use those kids in a feature role at the D-League level. I'd also open it up to allow other teams (in a limited cooperation) to send one or two players down to play with those guys. That way, the Jazz are able to recoup some of their investment cost without giving up ownership control to a different entity. Their guys get the value of having better talent around them consistently (for both games and practices) and the other team has value of not being one of the multiple teams fighting to place and play their guys on one of the last three available D-League teams.
