Pissed about the tank?

Everyone including DL knew we had to tank this year. Something changed internally and I believe Sloan is still mind ****ing the maulers.

So we had to tank, but at the same time develop the core5 who are the best players on the team. So sit Favors, Kanter, Hayward, Burks and Burke so we can lose, but play Favors, Kanter, Hayward, Burks and Burke so they can get better.

I'm fine with them playing the Core5, even if it fouls up the tank (which I'm not convinced that it will.) There's absolutely no defense for Ty not starting the young guys AND playing them more than he has. Williams/Jefferson should never start unless there's an injury. They certainly shouldn't be getting the minutes that they have been so far. Gobert should never be a DNP-CD in a tank/throw away season. Burks should have been established as the primary guy ages ago. He's the only guy that seems to even want to be great. They should give him every opportunity to do so.

You'd make the worst coach on the planet with this logic.

Except Williams WILL be the starting PF next season with Kanter continuing to come off the bench. RJ will be repalced by either another FA or the draft pick and Burks will still have his 6th man role.

More I think about this, the more I believe - despite his poor showing against Utah - that the Jazz could be leaning towards Gordon if they don't get lucky in the lottery. Hayward, Williams and Burke stretch the floor, with two very good defenders in Favors and Gordon. Burks can come off the bench a bit earlier to give him 30 mins/per.
