The Jazz will never sign a top level free agent. The NBA is trashed with super teams in super large markets. Small market teams are sadly just farm teams at this point.

My fear is they sign anyone beyond next year (other than Exum if the price is right). Sign Favors to a 1 year deal. They need money to lure a FA next year. Of the guys available, I'd love for them to get Butler, Thompson, Harris, Middleton or Mirotic. Any of them would be awesome in 2019. If not, there are plenty of other FA you can likely get for cheaper like Demarre Carroll, Wes Matthews, Taj Gibson, Paul Milsap (I don't see them paying him 30 million), Thaddeus Young, Danny Green, Patrick Beverly... Go into next year and see what you have keeping this team together, and if Favors works, you can decide to keep him after signing him to a 1 year deal this offseason.
