Players you'd be ecstatic if the Jazz drafted Thursday night

Here are mine, not with the 12th pick necessarily, but just in general.

Buddy Hield--crazy shooter
Jamal Murray--crazy shooter
Paul Zipser--this kid looks like he has a complete game on both ends of the court
Thon Maker--insane upside

Just missing the cut--I'd be very happy but not ecstatic per se.
Furkan Korkmaz
Taurean Prince
Jakob Poeltl
Timothe Luwawu
Dorian Finney-Smith

Hield or Murray would be grand, but can't imagine they will be there. I am very interested in what we do with all of our seconds.

I agree with most of these. I don't know the last guy though.

I'd be ecstatic if the Jazz drafted Gracin Bakumanya with one of our late 2nd rounders. He would make a good stash away player for later. But I'm thinking some team might draft him before it gets to that. He's 18 I think and has potential.

Brown or Skal are much higher on my board than they are on other people's boards I've seen... so I'd be very happy with them. Bender is another one I'd love... From the ones that are likely to be there at 12 - Skal, Poeltl, Maker, Davis.

Valentine, I'm confident he'll be underdrafted, and is even better than Hield. Like the Rodney Hood of this draft because of his age.

Here's an anonymous scout's take on him. Along with others if you follow the link. Gives a good look at a lot of prospects.

"Stone cold winner. Great leader, high IQ. How good of an athlete is he, and how much better will he get? And then how are his knees? I don't think he has a really high ceiling but he's smart, he can play pick and roll and he can shoot the hell out of the basketball. One-on-one defense is going to be a struggle at times for him. He's an elite passer—not good, elite. I don't think anybody is confident he'd be a great defender, but you like the progress he's made with his jump shot over the years. He's not incredibly quick to get his own shot. I think he'd be a good piece on a winning team, like [Warriors guard] Shaun Livingston."

Edit: Made a separate thread on this article. It's worth a read. The guy is smart.

I'm not the biggest Valentine supporter, I would really love a 3-and-D guy, but with that being said I do think it is kind of weird how much higher Buddy is projected to go than Valentine. Sure Buddy may be (probably is) better but is it a huge difference?
