Has now played 24 games and is averaging about 13 points 11 boards. He is 4th in the league in rebounding but only about 10th in blocked shots.

I'm starting to think the trade of Kanter as constituted was not the best one in the world.

Wait to see what the 2018 pick ends up being, but the Jazz should have traded him the moment Rudy Gobert started playing well. I knew after the game against Spain that Kanter was a goner. It was a mistake to hang on to him as long as they did.

If Pleiss was 22 instead of 26 we might still have a shred of hope for him. Not everyone can play in the NBA.

Meh.
Teams can't hang on to everyone. All teams lose players in free agency, which is basically what it came down to. I'm not sure what DL may have been able to get, Kanter had already shown he wouldn't play defense. Enes killed his trade value long before he publicly demanded a trade.

I prefer to look on the positive side: had Rudy NOT broken out in Dec/Jan of last season, Utah would have kept Enes as the starter and may very well have decided to match an offer last summer.

Tibor had 12 points 11 boards in a loss last night to the Santa Cruz Warriors. Santa Cruz had Xavier Henry playing who was the 12th player taken in the draft where Hayward was drafted. A 6'6" 2 guard. Santa Cruz also has Ronnie Brewer playing for them.
