Dear JazzFanziens,
I’ve been in-and-out of these forums for fifteen years now and during that tenure I’ve seen all sorts of posters from all walks of life. Some have been incredible additions. Some have not. Some, like Hotnickkkkkkkky, were hand-raised by the veterans of this forum and shaped into the better individuals they are today, transforming from the most irritating archetype of a little brother obsessed with anime to something altogether more tolerable.
Tremendous Upside, and his alts such as Tanktastic have resisted such shaping, and the time has come to take action.
At first, I had assumed that with some focused trolling, we could make JazzFanz so insufferable an experience for Tremendous Upside that he’d just leave. That’s been fun, but much like exposing a cockroach to nuclear radiation, it hasn’t been effective. While Tremendous Upside is scared, and leaves discussions as soon as he sees NAOS or myself or others pop on, he returns when we’ve logged off.
Then, I figured his alts would be caught by the almighty eye of Jason, but that hasn’t happened either.
Enter Phase 3: if we can’t get Tremendous Upside to leave we can, much like the Japanese koen, make him the tree in the forest no one can hear fall.
Without further adieu, I bring you:
THE TREMENDOUS UPSIDE BLOCK PARTY
How to enter: simply respond in this thread with a screenshot showing you have blocked Tremendous Upside and Tanktastic. Posters who post screenshots will be automatically entered in the lottery.
The lottery will be drawn from names out of a hat and will be videotaped so no one can accuse me of being Adam Silver. The lottery drawing will happen the same day as locker room clean out day. Screenshots of blocking must be submitted to this thread by the final game of the 25-26 season.
THIRD PRIZE: a Jazz merch item of my choosing.
SECOND PRIZE: a $30 DoorDash gift card so you can get your wings or Hires Big H for the game
GRAND PRIZE: 2 tickets to a 26-27 Utah Jazz game of your choice. I can’t promise lower bowl, but I’ll get the best tickets for you I can.
Why am I putting my own money into being rid of this corrupting force on our forums?
Because I appreciate JazzFanz and I appreciate most of you. We deserve a forum free of this guy.
