Where is Prodigy?? Lawd, this is his best mix yet. I would kiss his feet if I ever met him.

EDIT: Mods, take the n out of "mix" in the title. Thanks.

I saw this yesterday. I should have posted it. Good work Dal. No wonder so many people like you around here.

Hayward has probably surpassed on my frustration meter all the other Jazz players throughout the years who teased with their potential. He shows glimpses of being a special player and then follows it up with a game where he almost seems to hide. This video just reinforces my frustration with him.

It was his first full year of getting regular minutes let alone starter minutes. The last part of the season he was way more consistent. The fact that he struggled in the post season isn't surprising being his first time in the playoffs. Let's at least give him at least a year before we call him the next Cj Miles.

More that Tag?

Great mix, and Hayward is developing nicely. With a full training camp and some more time to fully grow into his body I'm hoping for a real breakout year for him. He has the skillset to be great.

I think Hayward and Favors will both have breakout years if Jefferson gets the boot. Burks has a lot of promise and it will only make Kanter better as he will get more minutes. Been saying this all year, Hayward and Favors aren't going to reach their potential unless that fat black hole is gone

I am excited to see the leap the Favors and Hayward make. I am more excited to see what Burks can do though. His ability to get to the rim and create contact is a skill. If he can get stronger and keep a respectable outside shot he could be a menace to other teams.

Neither will Kanter or Burks.

I don't understand. Sam Mitchell, in one of his many spot-on analyses for NBATV, claimed during a highlight package of a Jazz game that we had just witnessed the first and only block of Gorgon Hayward's career. Yet there were several in the highlight video and I'm pretty sure that they were different games, not just different angles of that same play. In fact, there was an instance versus the Celtics where it appeared that Hayward had two consecutive blocks against two separate players. His stats also indicate that he averages .6 blocks per game. I don't get it, it should be more like .012 per game.

Sam Mitchell averaged .3 blocks per game. So he knows shot blocking.

m4w: I am having a crisis of faith.

I remember this. It was slightly racist if you ask me. If a decently athletic 6'8 african-american swingman blocked that shot the statement would have never been made.

Don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel about Big Al.

Hayward is going to be a perrenial 6th man of the year candidate. Too bad the Jazz organization failed to have the confidence & fortitude to do what was necessary last season to acquire a couple All Stars to place next to him.
