Put Together the best Jazz roster of all-time

Also, Thurl Bailey was not a center. Not even close. I think Sloan played him at center in his return in '99, but he was awful. He was not even a power forward.

With Dantley and Malone, I don't see Maravich working in the starting lineup. I'm starting Horny and bringing Pistol off the bench for firepower.

Again, are we talking about the greatest ever at each position, or building a roster that you plan to use in a game (hypothetically of course)?

For me, I'm listing the game depth chart. I know that Pistol was a better player than Horny. Then again, I didn't follow the directions and put two more active Jazz players on the team.

Greatest* 12-man roster ever at each position:
C - Eaton, Memo, Favors
PF - Malone, Boozer, Jefferson
SF - Dantley, AK
SG - Pistol Pete, Horny
PG - Stockton, D-Will

Best* 12-man "game" rotation roster:
C- Eaton, Favors
PF - Malone, Boozer
SF - AK, Hayward
SG - Horny, Pistol Pete
PG - Stockton, D-Will
Bench Warmers: Memo, Green

Dantley and Jefferson wouldn't make my "Best rotation" team because even though they were/are great scorers, they tend to stall the offense when they get the ball.

We still haven't seen Kanter or Burks in an NBA game, so I left them off my lists.

* modified to include 4 current players

Center: Memo, Eaton, Kanter
Power Forward: Malone, Boozer, Jefferson
Small Forward: Dantley, Kirilenko
Shooting Guard: Maravich, Hornacek, Griffith
Point Guard: Stockton, Williams, Ricky Greene
