It is interesting to wonder what would happen if there was a civil war or if it is even possible. I would like to think that our hometown boys wouldnt shoot on their own. But all it might take is a carefully constructed spin doctored up campaign, with government coordinating with the media. They could just claim they were terrorists. Right? That is what the NDAA is about right? And also look at the divide between Dems and the Conservatives. I dont think its out of the realm to think that groups of people could be convinced that they are living amongst the enemy. We may live in a more civilized world now but it has happened in the past.
Also if it came down to battling the government, I dont think it would neccesarily be the tanks, bombs, air planes, etc, that would really hurt us (although it would). It would be technology such as the big eye in the sky, controls over communication, and other intelligence factors. They would have huge advantages over any uprisings. Thats why there never will be any uprisings. They would be squashed and discredited before they could get strong enough.
I think the government has huge advantages over us as it is now. And they are doing a good job a gaining more power. All they have to do is do it slow enough that it doesnt awaken or piss off enough people all at once. Plus with the power of controling the main stream media, they can keep confusion and propaganda going strong. Right now there are just so many different ideas about what is going, who is right, and who isnt, that it makes it damn near impossible for people to get on the same page. Making it impossible to do anything about this mess we are in.
