Here was his interview. Anyone else like him? I love his shooting percentages and his wide wing span of 6"10. He is also a good defender it seems.

I bet they were testing his lateral agility to see if he could defend NBA wings that they may go against. Beginning of the interview it discusses going against players that they will play against in the NBA in his work out with the Jazz.

He could be a very good complement to Hayward and Burks. Someone who doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective. Spread the floor for the big's and Hayward and Burks slashing.

He's been discussed before. I like him a lot. We need to add a shooter to compliment Burks. He would be a great fit, and he's not completely soft on defense.

My bad sorry I typed in his name under the search. Nothing came up?? Unless I did it wrong.

Sad thing is I am actually more excited about Bullock than most players at the first pick. Big holes in a lot of the players games at the first pick. Riskier for the reward. Not a lot of them can actually come in and play right away.

Yeah we discussed Bullock at length in both the draft thread and the workout thread. I'm probably the biggest Bullock homer, followed by PKM...

My motto at drafting a wing this year has been "Unless he can shoot 3's AND defend, I don't want to touch him". And Bullock fits that bill as well as any wing in this draft IMO.

^He likes Bullock because of everything I shared.. but he's also correct that he's the bigger homer.

Sorry, we don't draft players from the ACC. See 'Draft Trends: Western Teams' thread.
Despite a hefty 33 picks, the Jazz have found no need to pick a player from the ACC in 15 years.

I have wondered why Bullock doesn't get more hype. I don't think I've seen him mocked higher than 20. But he can shoot 3's, he is long and can defend...so what's his downside?

From DX:

Standing roughly 6'7 with a near 6'10 wingspan, Bullock has solid size for the small forward position, but he doesn't possess great explosiveness, which is most clear when watching his operate one-on-one and on the pick and roll. Lacking the burst to get into the paint consistently and proving to be only an average ball-handler, Bullock does not create his own shot prolifically and struggles to score over defenders in the midrange area, especially under pressure. Considering his strong long-range shooting, low-mistake style of play, and lack of creativity on the offensive end, Bullock seems best suited to play a role similar to the one fellow North Carolina product Danny Green plays for the Spurs.

Jazz wings are not typically called on to get into the lane until late in the shot clock, and the patient 3pt shooter would have fit nicely with the Alfense or with Boozerball. I don't know if it will work as well with Favors and Kanter manning the post, mostly because I'm not sure the Jazz are committed to that system for next season.

Bullock does not have a 6'10" wingspan. He's no more lengthy (or quick) than Kyle Korver (their numbers are near identical), but he's way weaker at the respective stages of their careers.

Can anyone tell me how he's going to guard the three with those weaknesses? He'll get pushed around harder than Korver and doesn't have the ability to recover any better. He might shoot the ball as well, but anyone doing that is always a long shot.

I really like the look of his catch and shoot though. He sets feet incredibly quickly to pivot and jump straight up.

DIDDO! I would give rep but I can't give any out.

Don't want Bullock. Wingspan is actually only fractionally longer than Hayward's, with a smaller standing reach as well. He will look flat out small next to the bigger SFs in this league. On offense, we have no stars (yet) so need everyone to be capable of creating some offense, and Bullock is not that guy. I'm not able to dismiss him sucking his first two years of college either, like some of you can.

I'd probably rather have Glen Rice Jr. than Bullock. More complete game.

I'd take a SOLID 3pt shooter who can defend, over a jack of all trade any day of the week, breakfast, lunch and dinner, including dessert.

I've just had enough of watching CJ Miles clanking it off the rim time and time again.
