What's new

Shaky cam, fast cut, zooming etc

What do you guys think about it.
i call it amatuerish.
eg die hard 5 was relaly bad
this one scene they where searching for the van with the camera. i mean common did they even choregraph the secene.
did they even tell the camera man what was gonna happen so he could get in position.
les miserables horible out fo focus.
too bad more and mroe movies are using this.
as they call it will be "realism"

imho if you are aware of what the camera man is doing it is far from realism

whats jfc opinions

Call it the Michael Bay effect.

I'm sure it's been around for decades but the first movie I can remember seeing it in was in Se7en. They knock on John Doe's apartment door, he appears down the hall and shoots at them, and a chase ensues which is shot using some sort of shaky handheld. I find it very effective. More often than not.
