Thoughts on Vander Blue's chances at making the league?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orApnXI8sio
I think he could end up an interesting option as the 3rd or 4th SG for the Jazz tbh.. A team like the Knicks should have him over Sacha Vujacic...

NBA D-League veteran Vander Blue has appeared in more than 150 NBADL games since making his debut in 2013, and once again ranks among the league’s scoring leaders this season. In 35 games for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, Blue has averaged 25.2 PPG and has shot 37.2% on three-point attempts.

Despite his success in the D-League, the former Marquette standout has only appeared in five NBA regular-season games. Nonetheless, at age 24, he continues to believe he’s deserving a longer look in the NBA, telling Alberto de Roa of HoopsHype that he knows it’s eventually going to happen. In fact, as he focuses on producing for the D-Fenders and earning another shot in the NBA, he says he’s not considering more lucrative offers overseas.

“I told my agent I don’t really wanna hear about overseas right now,” Blue said. “I feel like if I start thinking about that I’m gonna lose focus about what I need to do here. And I want my mind, my soul, my body all to be in one spot so I can really be the best I can be.”

Not an overly impressive % for the DLeague where defenders are generally shorter and slower.

He played for the Stampede 3-4 years ago and he's kind of in the mold of Kevin Murphy, Bryce Cotton, Jerell McNeal, Pierre Jackson. He can put up stats in triple A but not the show. He's playing for the Lakers DLeague team and if they saw something they would give him a shot.

Yup McNeal... There's also a player that played for Orlando and the Rockets who I cant recall his name but he;s like him, :p, that guy, you know, think he went to college in Florida..

He's like Von Wafer, comprable athletecism and shooter. Better defender tho, slight twist of Norman Powell, that's his ticket to the league, playing that archetype...

Bolomboy had a strong game last night 25 points 12 boards in a Stars win at Iowa. Interestingly he is not listed as one of the top 25 prospects on the DLeague website. Blue is the top prospect. Are there any names the Jazz might bring in over the off season as these "prospects."

How has Jalen Jones been playing? Could he get called up?? I saw he made the D-League asg. He was a damn good player in college last year, underrated. I thought he had a shot to get drafted.

cool, Jones wasn't ever a 20ppg scorer in college.. he's probably my favorite D-league player along with Quinn Cook. Blue's not far off.

He's clearly got NBA athleticism.

I've never seen him play a game. David Nwaba a 6'4" swingman the Lakers just signed to a 10-day contract is being hyped as the best defender on the wing from the D-league.

Does he have the Homeytennis stamp of approval? Is this #LettingTheMagicHappen

only a 24% 3pt shooter, but he doesn't shoot it much... 64% from the field

He grew up and went to high school in LA and played hoops at Cal Poly SLO. I like him.

Former Indiana Pacers big man Tyler Hansbrough is on his way to Fort Wayne.
The Mad Ants have signed Hansbrough from the NBA Development League available player pool and will be in uniform when the Ants play Westchester at 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Coliseum. Fort Wayne plays at Grand Rapids tonight. Hansbrough is scheduled to practice with the Mad Ants on Thursday.
Hansbrough, 31, a 6-foot-9 power forward out of the University of North Carolina, has played seven seasons in the NBA, most recently with the Charlotte Hornets in 2015-16. His best season came in 2010-11, when he started 29 games for the Pacers and averaged 11 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
He has been primarily a role player most of his NBA career. He has not played professionally this season.

This will be Trey Lyles in a couple of years.

Your lack of faith is disturbing. If Trey doesn't look like he's in improved shape (and ready for a bounceback year) next season I'll be disappointed. No need to jump to conclusions so early..

The Homey bat signal was in full Def Con alert last night as Jordan Crawford got 19 points and 3 assists in 20 minutes vs. the Jazz. He had been playing for Grand Rapids in the DLeague.

Surprised he was in the D-League this year... I know he was tearing up the Chinese league last season, figured he'd be back.

Most surprising part of this to me is that it didn't happen earlier.. he shoulda been in the league 2 years ago.. I'd have signed him for damn sure.

Homey knows, he's been discussed here since college. Jazz shoulda double-downed on Dookie Quinns'
