Should the Jazz consider trdaing down?

Just throwing it out there as an option, not saying to do it, but if this is a weak draft, it might make sense to trade down and get future picks or something in return.

Down, up, out, they should be considering every option. Having the 3 and the 12 means they need to identify which players they actually want to have on the team from the entire talent pool. Then they figure out how to trade the picks they have to get those guys in the right spots. Alternately, they can identify which guys already in the NBA they want and use the picks as part of a package to get them. All good problems to have.

I've wondered if they should call Cleveland and offer to swap 3 for 4 this year, with the option to swap picks next year or the next year.

What about trading down to like 5 and taking Knight. Get another pick for next year's bounty.
Toronto has 5. They could suck next year too. I'd consider giving 3 for 5 this year and top 3 protected 1st rounder next.

No one is going to give us a pick for the draft next year to move up one or two spots this year.
