Some interesting insights about what Utah Jazz fans want to do in the draft

In our latest SB Reacts we asked Utah Jazz fans about which prospect they like in the draft and also what the Jazz should do with a trade. What we found out is there isn’t a clear path Jazz fans want to take.

Before we get to whether Jazz fans said they want to trade up or down in the draft, let’s look at who they’d like to draft if they stay put. One thing’s clear, Jazz fans are interested in drafting Ron Holland.

Holland would be a swing-for-the-fences type pick. He has great size, athleticism, and physical tools. The issue for him is can he figure out his shooting? For the entire season with the G-League Ignite, Holland shot just 23% from three. But considering Holland’s size, defensive intensity, and athleticism, if he can figure out the shooting, he becomes a real steal at 10.

The next question we asked was whether Jazz fans think the Jazz should trade out of the top ten for a talent upgrade. Surprisingly, a slim majority said yes.

This one actually surprised me, but maybe it shouldn’t have. Considering this isn’t the strongest draft, I can see what some fans would like to look for a proven player if the goal for the Jazz is to compete next year.

Finally, we also asked if the Jazz should make a trade to move up in the draft and it matches what we saw with the previous question.

But the interesting thing about these different answers is there’s a pretty even divide with Jazz fans on what they do. Good luck, Danny Ainge, it looks like half of Jazz nation isn’t going to be happy with whatever you do.
