The Utah Jazz continue to hold the best record in the NBA. This shouldn’t be surprising, given the number of records they continue to break this season. For example, just last game they broke the record for 3 point makes in a half. They also continue a franchise record for consecutive wins at home at 22. They are currently 1 game away from yet another double digit winning streak.
The Jazz own the league’s longest winning streak at 11, the 2nd longest winning streak at 9, and now have another 9 game winning streak that is still active. Can they keep it going?
Up tonight is the Dallas Mavericks, a team that still seems to be trying to find their identity. They have a bonafide superstar and MVP candidate in Luka Doncic, but haven’t surrounded him with sufficient talent yet. The Mavericks are on a 4 game winning streak of their own and are 7th in the Western Conference.

Can the Jazz slow down Luka Doncic?

Similar to Donovan Mitchell, Doncic has been on an absolute tear since the All Star break. In his last 10 games, he’s averaging 29.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists. The Mavs are also 8-2 in those games. He’s been a problem for the entire NBA, and I imagine that will be similar tonight.
That being said, the Jazz also have something that no other NBA team does: Rudy Gobert. A top 10 defense all by himself, let’s see how the Jazz attack this Mavs offense on the defensive side.
Can Joe Ingles keep the hot streak going?

Joe Ingles is in another stratosphere right now. His true shooting percentage is more reflective of a center, something that has never been done in the NBA. Over his last 10 games, he’s shooting over 62% from 3. Yes, that’s not a typo. Over 62% from 3 on nearly 6 attempts per game. It’s ridiculous.
Are we sure Joe Ingles isn’t actually the Utah Jazz 6th man? More to come on that tomorrow.
