The young Utah Jazz travel to California to face the Pacific Division Champions, the LA Clippers

The Utah Jazz take on the Los Angeles Clippers for a late night penultimate regular season game. The Jazz are fresh off an emotionally satisfying victory. Last night's 3-point victory over the Houston Rockets means the Jazz finished with a 21-20 home record, extending the streak to 10 home winning record seasons in a row and 40 above .500 home records in 50 seasons. The Jazz’s goals for these final 2 regular season games are to continue developing their promising rookies and seeing which other young players should return next season. Between the Stars and the Jazz, Lofton Jr, Juzang, and Bazley have all shown promise. Expect those 3 guys to play 20 plus minutes each. What could sink the Jazz tonight is lack of offensive creation from the guards, poor perimeter defense resulting in non-contested 3’s, and turnovers.

The Clippers are locked into a playoff matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. LA has incentive to win tonight, because they could lose their first-round playoff homecourt advantage if they don’t. Expect LA to play most of their stars and for coach Lue to capitalize on the Jazz’s weaknesses early on.

If no Jazz player who sat out yesterday plays today, that means that the Jazz will be without Markkanen, Sexton, Collins, Kessler, Clarkson, and Dunn. For the Clippers, during their second game of a back-to-back 2 days ago, they sat Leonard, George, Harden, and Westbrook. Leonard is out tonight due to his knee. Expect to see George and Westbrook back tonight, with Harden being questionable to return.
