Snowshoeing/Caving spot reccomendations?

I'm just trying to plan something on the fly here for maybe Wednesday through Sunday of this week. And it looks like it's going to snow more on those days as well, so that we will be perfect. Any spots in Utah or the surrounding states would do. I'm leaning Grand Tetons right now, but that's totally a shot in the dark and might be playing to the "out of state" lure factor, when just going to Timp may be just as cool. Any thoughts? I just want somewhere scenic where you are forced to hike around and camp on the fly. I don't want any roads nearby or anything.

From the Utah kicked byu's *** thread...

Dude, #20 & #24 (the two black dudes) are they the worst basketball players in the world? Who are they? what year? Did they just have terrible games? Am I racist?? Serious, wtf is with those dudes?"

Some seriously awesome trail near Tahoe. Lots of cross-country, snowshoeing, and winter spelunking all over the Sierra Nevadas.

That's a good one, and not one I was thinking of because of distance. But really, a couple hours more than it would be to the Tetons is not anything. My thinking though is that it might be kind of a similar experience any decent place. Like if it's snowing, you're getting blasted, and visibility is crap......I don't know. But really though, I probably shouldn't be rooting for new snow wherever I go. The scenery and taking it all in is the goal, not just the struggle of dealing in that environment. Tetons are supposed to have snow those days. Tahoe not. Sunshine with snow on the ground should probably be my aim. hmmmmm.

Here's another thing in Tahoe's favor, this chick was on the same page when I was looking up Tahoe snow conditions - Local Tahoe Pro Skier Amie Engerbretson:

I'm in love.

Looks like a dude. Srs.

You know, she kind of does actually. I think I didn't take super long look at her face for obvious reasons. And honestly, that stereotype does hold based on my experiences in Park City. The pros are like all tomboys basically. Still cool people though. She looks more feminine here:

I don't know how familiar you are with this stuff but don't underestimate the cold. srs. Cold will get you in trouble 10x faster than no water in the desert.

@duck
U do know a girl can be a tomboy and not actually look like a "Tom" or a boy, right?

The multi-day thing is definitely going to be new. I've gone a lot of hikes where we build snow caves, do a little back country snowboarding, and pack up the next day and head home. So within the context of 24 hours or so, I'm confident I can keep warm. Beyond that, we'll see. I think you're right though, every environment seems to have that one thing that you absolutely have to be good at or else major problems could befall you. You can be a complete idiot at lots of things, but that core competency is crucial.
