It looks to me like we are 8th in the West (so we would make the playoffs) but ten eastern teams have better records than us. I think he may be right that we will make the playoffs. I think he's definitely wrong that we finish behind that many eastern conference teams.

When is the last time that a team in the eastern conference who missed the playoffs would have qualified had they been in the west, BTW? It's been years. Maybe decades. I do not think that trend will change this season.
