PG: Burke/McNeal/Neto (who won't be here this season IIRC)/ Tinsley (if resigned)
SG: Burks/Rush/Hayward
SF: Hayward/Jefferson/Marv (who isn't back till January)
PF: Favors/Evans/Kanter/Marv
C: Kanter/Beans/Gobert

- With Rush coming in along with Jefferson, where does this leave us with Carroll? With all of the Jr. Jazz stuff that he's done, I cannot imagine him NOT being given a decent contract this season. EDIT: he's gone

- Is Hayward starting at SF? Is he starting at SG, and are we going to bring Rush into the starting lineup, and bring Burks and Carroll off the bench? Is Carroll going to start?

- I think Jeremy is going to get some serious burn this season. As far as I can tell, PF is our most massive hole, in terms of bench depth (other than PG-- but that isn't really a change from last season). I think bringing Marv off the bench as a stretch 4 could work pretty well-- dude is long, has an okay post-game, and has range. I'm actually curious to see him at the 4 position-- I think he could definitely hold his own there.

- Burke is going to become a starter this season, guaranteed. We have torpedo'd most of our cap-space, and I cannot see us picking up a PG good enough to start in front of Burke with what little money we have left over

- With only 4.75 million left, I think that gives us roughly enough money to pick up Uncle Jamaal and JYD. This leaves us at 14 players, if my counting is correct (which it probably isn't).

- This team will be elite in transition. We have a stable of gazelles at every position. This should make for some pretty exciting basketball

- If Burks can keep his percentage around 36 from 3, I think our team is gonna have some pretty great spacing when you factor in Burke, Hayward, and particularly Rush. Carroll and Marv aren't stellar, but they can contribute in other ways. If Kanter's outside shot continues to develop, our team moving forward shouldn't have spacing issues.

- How awesome would it be if we can trade all of our 2014 picks in for Jabari, and Tomic comes over from Europe...

Burke
Hay
Jabari
Favors
Kanter

Burks
Tomic
Gobert
Rush
Carroll

Thats one stacked team, ladies.

Jeremy is a bad ***.

Yup. Despite us most-likely missing the playoffs, I think this is going to be one of the most exciting seasons we have had in a very long time.

I don't know what to think about if we are going to be good or not.

We have a large group of talented players that we all think are really good. So why won't we be good? I could easily see snagging the eighth seed. But on the other hand I know its better for the future that we tank. Its gonna be hard not liking the wins.

I guess I just don't think its in the bag that we get a high draft.

I had this exact same though as I was entering the names of the players down. There is simply no way that we are going to stay in the 20s in terms of wins.

I just hope that we can manage to finish 8th or 9th worst in the league, and maybe package a pick to move up or something. Or just get lucky with the lottery.

I think the maturity of our players is being underestimated. Favors and Hayward are going into their 4th years. Kanter starting finishing out 4th quarters last season (recall game against Milwaukee when Favors was benched). Hayward has obviously been closing consistently.

Trey Burke is seen as one of the more NBA-ready-to-contribute players of the 2013 draft.

I can't see us being a bottom 8 team. But 1 injury can obviously change everything

Dala you forgot Neto for that bench next year.

Werd. Holy shizz I'm excited for this Jazz team moving forward. I just hope Rush re-ups with us.

Zach Lowe has (ad-nauseum) talked about how the value of swingmen who can defend competently, and hit the 3 are skyrocketing in value.

Is there a more prototypical player of that description than Brandon Rush? Leeengthy, great defender, and is a monster from long-range. A true championship piece.

If Salmon was spelled Salamon, I'd actually eat it once in awhile just because of you, Dalamon.

No homo, of course.

Nice plan here. But I think Carroll is shaking his dreads in another direction before he signs here. That Trey Burke jersey thing seemed to make him feel disrespected.

Nice dream on Jabari, but no chance to trade up. Jazz would have to finish in the top 2 or win one of those picks. Not to worry, though, 3-6 isn't looking to bad either, especially with Exum blowing up.

As for DMC, it would be nice to at least offer a contract. If he goes somewhere else, no big deal.

Looks like my first bullet has just been answered.

Only made sense-- we picked up two players who could play SF. Rush >> Carroll so I'm not too devastated

I am just happy all of your wingplayers can hit the 3. There is a reason the Spurs wing players all can shoot.

Burks shot decent and has improved every year. The rest of them are pretty deadly from 3.

Time to get a back up point who can shoot the 3 than we are good. Floor spacing for our slashing and bigs down low.
