Someone please put The Thriller on suicide watch

Bookmark this thread for halfway through the season when they are calling for Hayward trades. while Burks and Kanter decide to test the market and not sign extensions (having great seasons under Synder). Our huge salary cap room is wasted on three crappy players Hayward, Booker, and Novak. Even then you won't be able to admit the $&@() job the FO did this offseason with free agency.

No one is complaining about the draft here just the waste of money that we have just made with these three stupid signings.
Yes, they will test the market. They would be CRAZY not to do so.
Booker and Novak do not preclude the Jazz re-signing either. You do realize the Jazz are barely at the salary FLOOR right? They are still under the cap and could, if they chose to do so, match offers for $15M each for Kanter and Burks and still land under the luxury tax threshold next year. I doubt either of those guys lands that big of an offer. If they did, it would mean they absolutely blew up this season. Then you would need to make a hard choice somewhere.

Kanter is just too risky to sign long-term in October. If he doesn't improve his defense, he's a $5M backup. Burks, I think we've seen his potential. Try to get him to sign a value contract like they did with Favors. Again, though, I think Alec would be crazy to accept any kind of deal. If he starts and puts up 16-18/per, he's going to get a huge deal next summer.

I honestly can't believe this thread is still active and in the Utah Jazz forum.

But it has to stay up until someone puts him on suicide watch, right?

Or, you can't believe that no one has put him there yet?
