Surprising. But in the end Lucas did the right thing.

Not a huge Star Wars fan; but it was obvious with the last 3 movies that the game has passed Lucas by. Give Disney a chance to **** it up.

Not a bad pay day either. 2 billion in cash and another 2 billion in stock.

What, so Lucas isn't making this one?
 
I'm cautiously optimistic about this. I figure they can't really any worse than the prequels, and if Lucas is able to let someone else take the reigns on making the sequels happen it's definitely better than the alternative. I used to think we'd have to wait for Lucas to die before a quality star wars movie was made, now I am not so sure.
 
This is so much lol. I hate die-hard Star Wars fans, so this'll be funny from the sidelines.

Oh, and TLOR sucked monkey balls.
 
I'm more interested in the potential Disneyland implications myself.

Wall Street not loving the move. Disney's stock was up 2 % to start, down 2 % now.
