Seems like the perfect SF backup to Marvin Williams, he can play some minutes at the 4 if we move Fat Al. This guy rains 3's

If we could trade Big Al and Watson for Collison and a pick.

I'd rather have Novak than Carroll but Carroll is a good guy to insert when you have an injury and Jeremy can play for 4-5 mins when someone is in foul trouble

We don't have enough shot creators to get him open like NY did. Also Hayward will spend about half his time at SF to make room for Burks at SG.

Carroll as we've seen him isn't a big 3-point threat. Hopefully he can improve on that. But he plays defense and brings energy. All Novak does is shoot. He's not a great passer, dribbler, rebounder, or defender. I know the Jazz need shooting, but there are good shooters (maybe not at Novak's level) that can do other things also.

Personally I'm a fan of any 6-9 white guy who can shoot like that and then do a discount-double-check, but Korver (who was often crucified on this board) was by far a more complete player than Novak. I suspect we'll be going into the season with a SF Williams/Carroll and SG Hayward/Burks foursome on the wing.

Carroll and Burks at the wings together? We should still have enough wiggle room to pick up a vet 3 who can shoot a little.

Perhaps since Utah still has the mid-level but they're already at 13 bodies (not counting Raja) and it's still unclear how Kevin Murphy fits into the equation.
