Stockton and Malone All star game compilation

Nice mix. Thanks for posting.

Wow am I glad they got rid of those mountain design unis. Ugh.

My favorite was the game when they all wore their home or away uniforms from their respective teams.

Also watching Stockton and Malone operate it was no wonder Malone scored as much as he did and no wonder Stock got as many assists. That combination of pure point guard skill and big man who can score from everywhere on the court with an otherworldly ability to finish in traffic is almost unheard of.

....what separated Malone from the rest of the power forwards was his basketball IQ. Frankly, it was OFF THE CHARTS! Malone was the only big guy forward (maybe Larry Bird, too) who understood that dribbling the ball after getting a nice pass from Stockton was defeating the purpose of the pass. Malone went STRAIGHT UP when he got the pass from Stockton, resulting in 3 things: an easy basket; a foul; and generally broken teeth by the defender! 99% of big guys automatically dribble the ball when they get a pass underneath, thereby increasing the odds by a factor of 10 that they will turn the ball over, miss the shot or have it blocked! There's a reason why Malone is second in all time scoring behind Kareem.....and that's the reason!

It was amazing how Malone would grab a board, outlet to Stockton and still be one of the first guys down on the break to Dunk the ball. His speed at his size was nothing short of incredible.

Yup.

Also, if we ever witness two players that work together better than Stockton and Malone, I'll be shocked. Just, perfect.
