There was apparently a lot more details that 60 Minutes described as "tawdry", and that they chose not to include. Although spanking Trump with a magazine with his photo on the cover conjured up a comical image that might embarrass him I guess. That, and the fact she said she was not attracted to him. Probably bruised his ego there.
I heard a couple of things that might be problematic, for somebody:
Trump's lawyer, Cohen, may have violated campaign finance law. Second half of the 60 Minutes story was focused on that aspect.
And we can be sure people will dig deep in an effort to identify the guy who threatened her with physical harm in 2011 if she didn't drop the story she was to have published about her encounter with Trump, as described here:
