Story of The Season: Injuries

I forgot about the 6th seeds in my post above.

Memphis: 4th big is ryan hollins. 5th big is the birdman. 4th wing is lance stephenson (thats a pretty good one as far as 4th wings go!)

Charlotte: 4th big is frank kaminsky. 5th big is tyler hansboro. (Not bad there) 4th wing is troy daniels.
Lance has been traded twice in a row for nothing.

Well there ya go. Further proving my point that our 4th and 5th bigs and 4th wing are not our problem.

Injuries, inexperience, star power, point guard play are the issues that we need to try to fix.
Ingles, booker and withey are ok guys to ride pine and only play when the occasional injury hits. The problem for the jazz were that the injuries were not occasional, they were frequent.

What a way to (probably) end it. Favors and Gobert both suffer injuries that severely hurt our team. Favors can barely jump or move, making it impossible for him to finish at the rim, rebound, or contest shots at anywhere near his usual level and Gobert is completely taken out of the game.

Our season started with injuries, had some injuries in the middle, and ended with injuries.

At this point I can't even be mad we missed the playoffs (it would have been a blood bath with a hobbled Gobert/Favors), I'm just mad we never got to see our team fully healthy. Right when Burks comes back, Favors/Gobert get injured. It's just ridiculous. What did we do as Jazzfanz to deserve this?

Aren't injuries the story of every team? No excuses; just acceptance

Jazz suffered more injuries to key personnel than any other team as far as I'm aware. **** acceptance, go for understanding.

This.
Show me a team with a good seed in the playoffs with as many injuries to as many key players as jazz.

I don't think it's possible. If you have the injuries that the jazz had this year then your team just isn't very good. Plain and simple.

Take any team in the league. Let's say the 73 win warriors. Take their starting point guard out for 82 games. Take their starting center and power forward out for about 20 games each. Take their best player off the bench out for about 50 games. Plus a few other guys missing a few games as well. (Booker, hood, hayward all missed some games)

How good would the warriors be? Not that good right?
I think you could say the same for pretty much every team in the league.

Now add in our players and coaches youth.

I think we did alright considering everything.
