They have a similar style - good passers, take smart shots, get to the free throw line, make their teams better. We will see, but that comparison keeps me hopeful.

I understand the comparison to Dunleavy. I don't think Hayward will get that many shot attempts. But who knows? If the 2/3 becomes a 3-man rotation in 2012 (or whenever the NBA starts up again) with Matthews, Hayward and CJ each getting 32 mins, I could see all three in the 14-18 pt range. Hayward is already pretty good at coming off those curls and fading out to 15-ft for an open look. Granted, it was summer league, but he's not afraid of driving and drawing fouls. Keep that FT% up and he could easily score 8 pts/per just on his FT's.

Actually, Austin Ainge was pretty well-spoken. I enjoyed his analysis of some of the rookies, even though he was talking about the Celtics, of course. Adds some insight into what teams look at during the summer league, the evaluation process, etc. He wasn't just a hack. From D-League/summer league coach maybe he lands a job as a 3rd assistant somewhere. It's not like Danny handed him some cushy corner office and put him at the top of the org chart.

You do know he's not black? I'm pretty sure it's in the bible that this term can only be used when describing a african american athlete from the inner city.
