Actual serious basketball question;

Was listening to Locke last week going on about Ingles having a 20-24 minute NBA body but he's playing 30 to 35 night in night out. I think Joe has been great this year, at the start of the season I was worried about his place in the rotation, what does he have to do next season and where is his place in this team going forward?

Is it just a simple matter of him working his arse off on his body over the off season to put some more life in his legs? Put simply I reckon the team is better with him on the floor.

Good grief. He's only 29. Even Jazz fans treat him like he is 45 years old.

29 isn't young! It was the beginning of a long and steep decline for me... I will add this tho, will be the first preseason he hasn't had the distraction of either getting married (mind you it is Utah polygamy is legal innit?) or having kids and going to the Olympics so he should have a pretty good one.

He was discovered in the outback 10 years ago wearing nothing but a loincloth he made from kangaroo and dingo skins... animals he killed with his bare hands. He looked exactly the same as he does today... no one knows how old he is... it is rumored he is ageless and has neither beginning of days or end of years.

Gonna be very interesting to see what he gets paid. $12 Millionish per year?
12-14 seems appropriate. And I think he deserves it. Jazz gonna have to work to find the money for him I think.

I think we keep him... He's restricted... 8-12 per is his range imo. I'd pack Burks bags for him if he needs to be moved to accommodate.

He's interesting because I could see some contenders wanting him as a rotation piece, but they won't overpay because most of them really can't. I don't see the bottom dwellers being interested at overpaying to bring him over because of age and fit. Maybe Houston gets in the conversation, but I don't see him as a big target for a team with more than a mid level to offer.

I think he'll get as much as 13.5, possibly as high as 14. There are going to be quite few teams interested in him.

Who? and how much space do they have?

He'll be a good shooter, good ball mover and good locker room guy. I have no idea what kind of contract that translates to.

I reckon he starts ahead of hood next year too. He and Rudy are playing well together as well
