Does The Utah Jazz offense improve now that Sloan is gone?
Does D-Will now have more freedom to orchestrate the offense in a non restricted manner ? I feel after Sloan leaves, the Utah offense will be more improved and we will be more of a fun team to watch...

your thoughts? We will get through this Jazz fans, The new era in Utah has now dawned upon us!

I think the new "offense" will be the Weber State offense of old when Dick Motta and Phil Johnson were head coaches there prior to going to the NBA. That offense was on display with Malone and Stockton. It's a wing oriented offense and both guards at times can be the "point guard." When Al was here after the pass to him it went to $#*%. A lot of pick and rolls. If NBA TV ever runs replays of the Norm Van Lier, Chet Walker Bulls that's the offense.

Don't you need better pick n pop players to make that work? I'm thinking of Sloan running the two man game with Greg Foster, who didn't drive and take away options from the weak side but faded for a long two instead.

What could have been if Giricek/CJ/AK/Harpring could have been the ball handler in pnr with Memo.

Wow, this was a compelling topic back in Feb of 2011. No responses at all to the OP.

Speaking for myself I was too shocked that it happened. Too concerned about the drama that surronded it. Too angry at Deron.

We used to a better job of ignoring trolls like the op or negging them into oblivion. Then Colton started playing patty cake with the rep -- reducing the allotment, making days on forum worth points even in absence, taking away anonymity -- rep used to self police the place, now it's worth little more than bragging rights.

And no, suggesting replacing Sloan would improve the offense was not compelling then. Sounds downright stupid in hindsight. Point: forum.
