The Official paul MILLSAP apreciation thread

"As Carroll is, Millsap once was; as Millsap is (I PRAY), Favors and Kanter (never) become."

I really miss the Millsap of 5-8 years ago. The one who fought for every rebound, who constantly worked on his game, who was never content with the player he was. Paul was once EVERYTHING we could have asked for. Whether it was the big contract or the Deron trade, Millsap changed as a player. I once thought the Jazz should try to re-sign him and convince him to come off the bench. I no longer feel that way. Jazz need to say goodbye to both Paul and Al. It will leave Utah thin, but a FA backup can be signed and/or a decent big drafted with one of the first round picks.

ALFENSE happened to him

this is the first year of FULL BLOWN ALFENSE

Paul has been a let down to me this year. No heart. No hustle. Many Career-lows. All things not characteristic of the Paul we used to know. I think it shows he's not into it anymore, at least with our team's future.

I love the paul of old, but if he is what we're looking at going forward, I'd say move on without him.

Agreed. He needs to either accept a bench role, or go. This is of course if we can sign him to a fair deal. I don't believe we can. So good luck to Paul with a new team next season.

Millsap takes the 2nd most amount of shots. He has no doubt been the #2 option all season long.

not hwen jazz are healthy.
per minute mo and foye take more shots.
hayward also takes more shots.
millsap taking shots is also
of the dump it down variety.
millsap isnt the dump it down to sap kinda player.
it is like fitting a square ball in a triangle.

in short if you dont appreciate him gtfo out of this thread.

Neither mo nor Randy take more shots/minute.

Gordon does, but he doesnt get on the floor as much. The person who takes the 2 most shots per game over an 82 game season is typically the 2nd option.

Paul isnt a dump it down player, I agree. But after watching him all season, I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of player he is at all.
He isnt hitting the outside jumper. He isnt scoring in the post. He isn't doing much of anything offensively very well. Hell he cant even do the things that got him into the league in the first place (rebounding, hustle).

Paul doesnt deserve much praise this season. In fact, with the stats, lack of hustle, and overall demeanor, i'm almost certain he doesnt even like it here.

Its as simple as that. If you have a different opinion, keep it. But keep the ignorance with it.

no i sugested millsap is playing in alfense.
since alfense is a retarded system he is stugling
watch the videos.
he needs pick and roll and pick and pop point guard.
basically he is the 4th option in alfense.
when he gets the ball it is dump it down to sap.
it aint working like that.

APRECIATE HIM or gtfo out of this apreication thread

I think he meant David James. You non-Utahn, you.

It was a joke but ok.
It's really more like:
Al, Milsap, Mo, Hay.....ah **** it. I don't know anymore the starting lineup changes almost everyday.

The SF is the last option in the Jazz plays though. They've changed them for Gordon, but that's how it went before.

It almost seems like hayward is forcing his way into the offense. Earlier in the year, he barely got any touches on offense. Now somehow he's scoring 20+ ppg as a starter, even with Al

Dutch Jazzer -- David James -- DJ Jazzy Jodi. I don't know why Dutch would get confused. It was David James, and I'm thinking of negging Dutch for not reading my mind.

And he (Milsap) is leaving after this season.*

*Four years too late imo.
