Alright... here we go.

Detroit has a lot of combo forwards and they will also be over the tax once KCP gets his max deal. So they needs to drop some salary.

How about this:

Utah sends Favors to Phoenix, Phoenix send TJ Warren to Detroit, Detroit sends Tobias Harris to us. It works because of cap space in both Utah and Phoenix.

Then we can address point guard later.

I checked out NBA Wowy for when Harris is the PF and he is damn good when he isn't sharing the floor with another combo forward. He can fill in at SF too if need be.

Add Beverly and you have Bev, Hood, Hayward, Harris, Gobert .... I like it but I'm a Harris fan.

I like Tobias Harris. How do you feel about Aaron Gordon, or pursuing Rudy Gay in free agency?

I like Aaron Gordon but he'd cost too much to acquire... Rudy Gay is a pass for me... if he wanted to play the four... maybe, but he's not been a fan in the past.

Also, achilles... no thanks.

I've been campaigning for Tobias Harris for years. Would be great having him at the 4.

He's not a perfect defensive fit, but can stretch it and you can't really guard him with a wing... would love for JJ to show him how to bully wings in the post.

Not bad H2, not bad. We would probably have to sweeten the pot for Detroit, but good idea.

Detroit is saving 13 million in 17-18 and 14.8 million in 18-19 in this deal. Giving them some financial flexibility to keep KCP. If anything I think the Jazz should probably get a pick or two back from Detroit in this deal because they are taking a big contract from them and giving up the best player in the trade.

Doesn't Detroit like Harris? Seems like they would pay to dump somebody else, but I could be wrong.

Considering the current talk, what about?

Houston gets Diaw
Detroit gets Lou Williams, Neto & our 2018 pick
We get Beverley and Harris

Houston does it to shed contracts

Detroit does it to get expirings and a lottery protected pick

We do it for a wing/stretch 4 and a lock down wing defender/vet PG

What do people see in Tobias Harris? He's a middling tweener on a middling team making middling money. He doesn't move the needle whatsoever.

For what it's worth, I'd be willing to take a flyer on someone like Jabari, who has much more pronounced strengths. I know the injuries are significant, but that's the only reason you might be able to get him - if the price is low enough he will fit with the rest of the roster.

I'm not sure what their feelings are about Harris to be honest. They may like him, I don't know. But just looking at their cap situation, I don't see them trading Drummond. I don't see any team that's going to want to take Reggie Jackson off their hands. Jon Leuer may be tough for them to move coming off injury. Harris is the only other big contract. If they want to shed some salary he might have to be the one to go. And it may cost them to do it. Even if they like him.

I would prefer Jabari, but the Bucks are on the verge of something special. They aren't trading Jabari until they see what they have the first half of the season.

Harris is a SF/PF who played 31mpg last year averaging 16ppg, 5rpg, and almost 2apg. He shot 48% and 35% from 3 on a bad team.

With our space until Friday, I don't see a much better option to address our needs for an additional, quality stretch 4 option.

When he plays PF he's not middling. He's young on a decent deal. Go check out NBA wowy for when he is on the court without Morris and leuer.

I love this. Not sure it's enough for Detroit, but then again, who wants to be paying the LT for a fringe playoff team in the abysmal Eastern Conference (whose market is a decaying ghost-metropolis)?

Phoenix should add a little value to Detroit but I think the parameters are solid.

you want to face Exum and Parker extensions at the same time (along with all the question marks for both players and paying all the assets it would take to get Parker) with a roster including Gordon Hayward?

Ooops, I think I mistook the thread for the other one where we were talking about how to react to losing Hayward. Yeah... if Hayward stays, paying everybody to stay becomes tricky to say the least.
